Explosive Ordnance

Nova Systems is committed to assuring the safety and suitability for service of items of Explosive Ordnance (EO) in the Defence inventory as well as enabling integrated and effective weapon capability on military platforms. Through our EO Program, Nova provides expert technical advice on the full range of activities within this specialist field including EO design and safety, qualification and test, life assessment, storage and transport, and certification. The Program also complements our platform-based activities in the Maritime, Land and Aerospace domains through provision of expert advice on weapons integration, maritime stowage and handling, and aircraft stores compatibility. Nova’s resident expertise includes world class experience in the fields of pyrotechnics design and safety, propellant qualification, and insensitive munitions.

Nova currently supports Munitions and Guided Weapons Branch in the introduction to service of new and upgraded items of guided and non-guided EO as well as a range of weapons integration tasks on military aircraft types, land systems and maritime platforms. As an independent provider of engineering services, Nova also offers impartial advice to Defence industry on EO certification, integration and storage and prep facility licensing requirements.
