Case Study: Royal Australian Navy Air Warfare Destroyer

We’re proud to have played a pivotal role in the nation’s $9.1 billion Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) program, supporting the delivery of three Hobart Class Guided Missile Destroyers and support systems to the Royal Australian Navy.

The Background

In 2007, the AWD Alliance formed between the Defence Department, ASC, and Raytheon Australia to deliver the AWD program. All three entities then engaged Nova Systems to provide a wide range of services and support to the project.

What We Did

More than 80 Nova Systems engineering, project management and operational consultants supported the alliance in tackling this highly complex project to equip Australia with vital defence for ships, land forces and coastal infrastructure.
