What is a Major Service Provider (MSP)?

An Australian MSP is a company or consortium of companies capable of delivering large, long-term integrated work packages (IWP) to the Capability and Sustainment Group (CASG).

What attributes does an MSP have?

Designed to be a collaborative and relationship-driven mechanism with MSPs 'inside the tent', Major Service Providers have coverage of all disciplines and skill sets on the Defence Support Services (DSS) panel, and have depth and resilience in financial and human resources.

What prompted the Australian MSP model?

The Australian Government identified a need to streamline contract management and reduce costs, and to create a central governance that allows for a more uniform approach to service contracts. MSP was designed to address these issues.

What is the intent of the MSP model?

Strong collaborative project governance, joint objectives and principles of operation, a culture of mutual respect and cooperation, and an environment that fosters innovation, continuous improvement, cost efficiency, transparency and open, honest and timely communications.

How do I get involved?

Here’s how to join our supply chain. The best place to start is to send an email to industryengagement@novasystems.com. From there, a Team Nova representative will get in touch.

What are the requirements to become a subcontractor to Nova Systems?

You must be a Pty Ltd company with an ABN and ACN, with the required amount of Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance. You also need to have Workers Compensation in place for the state within which you work and you must not be a Sole Trader.
