Nova Systems and Cervus have been providing their independent expertise in Project Management, Simulation, Data Analytics and the operational Air domain to support ELDON’s development of synthetic environments and hardware in the loop experimentation since 2020.
Leveraging their understanding of RAF Experimentation and their natural synergies as disruptive and innovative subject matter experts (SME), the two companies are combining their expertise to offer a simulation toolbox that harnesses the transformative power of simulation, analytics, and subject matter expertise.
David Cooper, Executive General Manager at Nova Systems, said: “ELDON is at the forefront of the RAF’s ambitions for experimentation using synthetics. With Nova’s expertise gained from providing independent support to many of the RAF’s synthetic programmes, ELDON is seen as a natural extension into an area that requires agility and innovation to provide the RAF’s frontline operators with the future capabilities that they need.”
Chris Rolfs, Chief Technology Officer at Cervus Defence and Security, said: “In working in partnership with Nova Systems to support the RAF RCO, we are tackling complex problems that the RAF are looking for robust answers for. By leveraging the excellent facilities, we can push the boundaries of what can be done with hardware, simulation, and data analytics.”
This contract announcement allows for the team to provide:
Augmenting Existing Capabilities: Using data, simulation and operational expertise to incrementally enhance the existing ELDON capability, demonstrating that more can be achieved in experimentation using modelling and simulation.
Precision Decision Support: The Cervus HIVE analytics engine provides the RAF with advanced decision support tools that can sift data streams and distil complex information into actionable insights that Nova Systems’ domain expertise can quantify to support RAF decision-making.
Future-Proofing Missions: In an ever-evolving landscape, the RAF must be prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. The ELDON capability allows for the assessment of potential future options but also envisions innovative pathways within a mission context. This forward-thinking approach has the requirements of the RAF operators at its core and ensures that the RAF remains at the forefront of technological advancements and strategic planning.
