The agreement establishes a framework for Nova Systems and Safran Electronics & Defense to collaborate more effectively, enhancing the capabilities provided to end-users.
The focus is on market development and the further expansion of the market leading operational capability provided by Nova Systems’ mission system solutions and Safran’s EUROFLIR 410 Electro Optical System.
The EUROFLIR allows fixed, rotary-wing aircraft and UAV to carry out intelligence, protection, search and rescue missions thanks to long-range observation and accurate targeting and designation capabilities.
Nova Systems holds a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation of the EUROFLIR 410 on the Airbus Helicopters EC/H135 series of aircraft and is the largest non-OEM rotary wing integrator of special mission capabilities in the UK and Europe.
Clifton Lombard, Nova Systems International Executive General Manager for Future Business, said: “We are delighted to enter into this agreement with Safran Electronics & Defense. There are significant synergies between our organisations which will be strengthened by this partnership to the benefit of our special mission customers.”
“Today marks a significant milestone for Safran Electronics & Defense, as we embark on this strategic cooperation with Nova Systems,” said Andjy Zouag, Safran Electronics & Defense Airborne Optronics Sales Director.
“By joining our expertise, we are unleashing new potential for innovation and strengthening our impact in defence and aerospace. We look forward to what we will accomplish together.”
